. This work was originally privately printed in 1735 by John Moore. It was then titled 'The Columbarium' and issued in very small edition only six copies are known to exist.
This copy is a first printing that was later published anonymously by a practical pigeon fancier.
This clean copy is in good condition but missing 10 of the 13 plates and page 99/100 and 109/110 but retaining its original leather binding.
this was the first English book on
pigeons and is a great rarity as well as very collectable to Antiquarium collectors as well as pigeon lovers.
