Condition Report: Near Fine. The cream boards are remarkably bright and clean, with the Art Nouveau gilt tooling and lettering remaining sharp and completely unoxidised. The binding is tight and square with no lean, and the extremities show virtually no shelf-wear. Internally, the pages are crisp, white, and free from foxing, creases, or any distracting marks. The unclipped dust jacket presents well overall but does show a small surface paper abrasion to the upper right corner of the front panel (evidently from a removed sticker), alongside mild rubbing and light creasing to the spine head and fold edges.

Catalogue Note: This is a First Printing of the 2003 Firefly Books edition (effectively a First Edition Thus), reproducing the iconic artwork originally published in London by Dennis Dobson in 1967. The volume features Ralph Steadman's anarchic and brilliant pen-and-ink illustrations, which famously subverted the traditional Tenniel aesthetic to provide a sharper, more satirical vision of Wonderland.

Bound in attractive cream boards with striking gilt decoration, this edition is notable for presenting Steadman's work in a high-quality, large quarto format.
