Condition Report: Very Good. The binding remains structurally sound and tight, presenting only mild signs of careful handling, which include slight rubbing and light bumping to the extremities of the pictorial boards and spine ends. The illustrated covers remain remarkably bright, avoiding the heavy scuffing and fading often seen on copies of this age. Internally, the pages are complete and securely bound, displaying light, age-appropriate toning and occasional minor marks, but remaining largely clean. Most notably, all five automatic pop-up models are in exceptional condition; they spring up effortlessly and function perfectly without the tears, creases, or missing components that typically plague these fragile mechanisms, justifying a strong grade for a book of this nature.

Catalogue Note: This is an early printing of the second volume in the celebrated Bookano Stories series. Launched in the late 1920s, the series revolutionised interactive children's literature by introducing some of the very first "automatic" spring-up books. This volume features five vibrant, fully functional pop-ups, or "living models," designed to be viewed from 360 degrees, standing upright autonomously as the pages are opened.

The pop-ups are accompanied by classic stories, verses, and monochrome in-text drawings. Due to their fragile, interactive nature, these volumes were often heavily handled and irreparably damaged by their original owners. Finding an early edition with the original binding intact and all pop-ups in perfect working order has become increasingly difficult on the open market, making this a highly collectible survivor of early twentieth-century paper engineering.

Very Good	The book maintains its structural integrity, and has no major flaws such as tears to its binding or pages. It may, however, show signs of careful use, handling, or storage — small marks and creases, light foxing. Its dust jacket (if present) remains fully intact, but small tears may be present.
Good	A book that remains intact and readable with complete text pages, but shows moderate signs of wear and use to both the book and dust jacket (if present). Fair	A book with significant wear or damage.
