Condition Report: Good. The original green cloth binding remains remarkably well-preserved, sitting square and tight with bright gilt lettering to the spine and displaying only minor shelf-wear to the extremities. However, there is a prominent historical liquid stain (likely water or tea) that has permeated the upper inner margins of the preliminary leaves, notably affecting the front endpapers, the frontispiece, the title page, and the dedication page. While visually distracting, this staining remains contained to the inner margins and does not obscure the text or the central photogravure portrait. The text block is otherwise sound, showing typical age-toning and mild foxing to the untrimmed fore-edges. The exceptionally rare original printed dust jacket remains unclipped with the original '10/6 net' price on the spine, though it has suffered from substantial edge-wear, chipping to the spine ends and the top right corner of the front panel. It has undergone extensive internal tape repairs by a previous owner, which have caused heavy browning and acidic offsetting to the reverse. The jacket is now protected in a removable archival sleeve.

This volume features a striking photogravure frontispiece portrait of the author bearing a printed facsimile signature, alongside fifty instructional and action photographs printed on glossy plates throughout the text.
