Condition Report: Very Good. The book presents firmly in its original binding, with the red taped spine remaining mostly intact, albeit showing mild rubbing and slight fraying at the extreme head and tail. The brown paper-covered boards are well-preserved with some gentle bumping to the corners. Internally, the pages are clean with standard age-toning typical of post-war paper stock, and the binding remains tight throughout. The front endpaper bears a neat, contemporary ink ownership signature ("L. Partington. June 1948"). The original pictorial dust jacket is Very Good; it remains remarkably bright but shows moderate shelf-wear, including minor chipping at the spine ends, light creasing along the top edge, and general surface soiling to the white rear panel. Crucially, the dust jacket is unclipped, retaining the original "5/-" price on the front flap.
