Condition Report: Very Good. The original folded paper wrappers present well, exhibiting only light, expected age-toning typical of mid-century French broché bindings. There is some minor rubbing and a very small chip to the head of the spine, alongside faint surface wear to the front and rear panels. The binding remains robust and entirely sound throughout. Internally, the text block is wonderfully crisp and clean, remarkably free from the foxing that often plagues these particular paper stocks, ensuring Brunelleschi's vivid plates remain beautifully sharp, bright, and completely unblemished.

Catalogue Note: This striking iteration of Voltaire's classic satire is a beautifully produced limited edition, restricted to 3,000 numbered copies printed on Rives vellum paper. It is delightfully enriched by the renowned Italian Art Deco artist Umberto Brunelleschi. The volume boasts sixteen magnificent full-page colour plates, their hues vividly applied under the artist's own supervision by E. Charpentier, alongside forty-six charming black-and-white insets and vignettes.
