Condition Report: Very Good. The blue cloth binding remains firm and structurally sound, exhibiting only minimal shelf-wear to the extremities and slight softening at the spine tips. The gilt lettering on the spine is bright and unoxidised, and the text block is square with pages retaining a pleasing crispness despite mild, age-appropriate toning to the edges. A neat, contemporary ink inscription ("To Pamela / With Love and Best Wishes / from Zandra / Dec 25th, 1945") is present on the front free endpaper. The original, unclipped black and green dust jacket (priced 6/- net) remains largely complete and vibrant, showing minor rubbing to the panels, shallow chipping and creasing at the spine extremities and corners, and some light handling marks to the rear panel.
