Condition Report: Very Good. The original paper wrapper exhibits moderate edge-wear and creasing along the extremities, which is entirely consistent with its age and the fragile nature of the paper stock. The enclosed loose plates and drawings remain remarkably well-preserved, showing only light scattered foxing, occasional faint thumb-soiling, and minor age-toning predominantly confined to the outer margins, well away from the struck and drawn images. The sanguine ink of the etchings remains bright, deeply impressed, and richly contrasted without any sign of oxidation, while the graphite on the original pencil sketches remains remarkably sharp and unsmudged. Crucially, the artist's ink inscription on the front wrapper remains bold and entirely legible, undisturbed by any fading, justifying a solid grading for this delicate survivor.

Catalogue Note: A unique and scarce collection of original artwork by the English artist and miniature painter Violet Brunton (1878–1951), assembled and presented by the artist herself as a personalized Christmas gift. The collection comprises five striking sanguine etchings, including works titled and signed in pencil such as "Penelope" and "The Vision," alongside two original pencil sketches that demonstrate her high proficiency in both portraiture and classical figure studies.
