The original blue cloth boards remain remarkably clean and bright, with sharp, unoxidised black lettering to the front board and spine, largely protected from fading by the scarce original dust jacket. The binding is square and tight, with only mild pushing to the spine ends and nominal shelf-wear to the extremities. Internally, the text block is sound, presenting with age-appropriate toning and scattered foxing, primarily affecting the preliminary leaves, endpapers, and the text block edges. The unclipped pictorial dust jacket is graded Good to Very Good; it retains vibrant, vivid colours to the front and rear panels but exhibits typical edge-wear, including minor chipping to the spine ends and corners, some light rubbing along the folds, and mild handling marks.
