Condition Report Very Good. The original green blind-stamped cloth binding remains remarkably firm and intact for a pocket edition of this era, presenting with beautifully bright, unoxidised Victorian gilt tooling to the spine. The boards exhibit only minor corner bumping and superficial rubbing, with negligible wear to the head and tail of the spine, suggesting it has been carefully stored. Internally, the text block is compact with its all-edges-gilt finish remaining largely vibrant. The pages themselves show moderate, expected age-toning and scattered foxing, most notable around the frontispiece and title page, but remain free from significant tears, structural loosening, or detrimental staining. The original yellow endpapers remain secure, ultimately preserving this mid-nineteenth-century volume in a highly collectible, tightly bound condition.
