Condition Report: Very Good. This copy remains firmly bound and visually attractive, exhibiting the mild handling wear expected of mid-century children's titles. The original pictorial paper-covered boards are bright, with some rubbing, minor abrasion to the extremities, and lightly bumped corners. The spine paper is largely intact, showing moderate rubbing along the joints alongside slight chipping and creasing at the head and tail, though the printed spine text remains perfectly legible. The plain blue rear board is lightly soiled with some marginal fading, yet the mounted publisher's catalogue label is completely secure and clear. Internally, the binding is notably tight and square. The illustrated endpapers are vibrant and undisturbed by previous ownership inscriptions, and the text block is crisp and highly legible, remaining completely free of significant foxing, tearing, or distracting blemishes.
