Condition Report: Very Good. The book is bound in the original publisher's blue cloth with crisp gilt lettering to the spine; the binding remains remarkably firm, square, and bright, demonstrating no significant shelf-wear, bumping, or fading to the boards. Internally, the text block is securely bound and the pages are largely clean, though there is a small amount of expected age-toning to the endpapers. The most notable imperfection is a moderate smattering of foxing and spotting to the text block edges, particularly along the top and fore-edge, which is typical for post-war Chambers paper stock. The original dust jacket is present and remains unclipped, displaying the publisher's original 7s. 6d. net price on the front flap. The jacket is largely complete and visually striking on the front panel and spine, though the white rear panel exhibits some light surface grime, age-toning, and very minor rubbing to the extreme edges. It is now well-preserved in a removable archival sleeve.
