Condition Report: Very Good. The publisher’s original blue cloth binding remains tight and structurally sound, with only minor bumping to the corners and slight softening to the spine extremities indicative of expected shelf-wear. The striking black-stamped illustration to the front board is remarkably well-preserved and unrubbed, while the gilt titles on both the front panel and spine remain bright and free of oxidation, though the spine cloth itself exhibits mild age-darkening. Internally, the hinges are solid and uncracked. The fore-edge and text block show moderate, uniform age-toning, but remain otherwise crisp and supple. A handsome, robust survival of an ephemeral travel guide.

Catalogue Note: An English-language edition, issued as number 47 within the popular Guides Lampugnani's series. The guide was distinctly targeted toward British or international travelers, as indicated by the gilt-stamped original retail cost of "1s. nett" on the spine. The lower board features the publisher's gilt-stamped monogram emblem, bearing the Latin motto Mea in Labore Fortitudo.

The front pastedown bears the elegant, neatly affixed bookseller ticket of Zanetti Giovanni, a notable libreria and cartoleria formerly operating in St. Mark's Square (S. Marco), Venice. Such local vendor labels provide charming contemporary provenance, evidencing the guide's direct retail sale to early Edwardian-era tourists in the heart of the city.
