Condition Report: Very Good. The publisher's original blue cloth boards remain exceptionally clean and sharp with bright gilt lettering to the spine, displaying only minor shelf-wear to the extremities. The binding is firm and square, with hinges perfectly intact. Internally, the pages are crisp and clean, though there is some light, scattered spotting to the top edge of the text block. The original unclipped dust jacket (priced 21s. net) retains its striking bamboo design; it shows some mild age-toning to the spine and rear panel, alongside slight nicking and rubbing to the spine head and tail, but it remains a highly presentable and attractive wrapper overall.
