Fine: An exceptionally well-preserved example. Original dust jacket shows light wear to extremities together with faint sunning, though remains excellent overall without significant tears or losses. Cover artwork remains bright, vibrant, and richly coloured. Jacket now protected in a plastic sleeve. Publisher’s original green cloth binding displays a crease to the front board together with faint discolouration towards the edges, though otherwise remains in excellent condition, with silver spine lettering crisp and clean. Upper edge of the text block dust toned, though otherwise clean with sharp page edges. Internally, pages remain tightly bound, clean, and tidy throughout.

First edition, first printing published by Jonathan Cape, London, 1946. The first and only full poetry collection by Henry Reed, best remembered for his wartime poetry and later radio work. As Reed’s sole verse collection, first editions of A Map of Verona hold considerable literary and collector interest.

Good	A book that remains intact and readable with complete text pages, but shows moderate signs of wear and use to both the book and dust jacket (if present). Fair	A book with significant wear or damage.
