The front and rear joints show moderate stress, though the hinges remain secure without tearing. Internally, the text block is sound; however, the utilitarian post-war paper stock has uniformly tanned, and minor spotting is evident on the preliminary leaves. The original black stamped titling on the spine is intact, though showing signs of fading against the worn cloth.
