Condition Report: Near Fine. The binding remains remarkably tight and square, featuring cream cloth boards that are exceptionally clean and free from notable shelf-wear. The dark brown pictorial vignette of a house on the upper board is exceedingly sharp and unrubbed. The spine lettering and the Folio Society signet remain bold and well-preserved. The publisher's top-stain retains its depth of colour, and the remaining text block edges are crisp. Internally, the pages are bright and completely free of foxing or prominent historical inscriptions. It is housed in the original plain brown slipcase, which remains robust and structurally sound, showing only the lightest of incidental edge-wear typical of its age.

The volume brings together a curated selection of Charles Dickens' travel writings and letters, meticulously edited and introduced by Rosalind Vallance.
