Condition Report: Good; Very Good dust jacket. The text block is square and tightly bound, with pages remaining exceptionally clean, crisp, and entirely free from foxing or internal toning. The structural integrity of the binding is excellent; however, there is significant adhesion damage to the front board. It appears the dust jacket previously adhered to the board's surface, and upon separation tore away a section of the paper casing, leaving residue stuck to the blind side of the jacket's front flap fold. Externally, the unclipped dust jacket presents handsomely, retaining bright, unfaded colours with only minor rubbing to the spine ends and extremities. The jacket's flaw is restricted to the internal adhesion residue, which remains completely hidden when housed in a protective sleeve.

Catalogue Note: First US Edition, First Printing. Originally published in the UK by Allison & Busby the previous year, this Scribner release marks the first American appearance of the title.
