Condition Report Very Good. The volume presents well in its original red cloth, though the spine has sunned to a warmer, brownish tone, which is typical for this binding. The gilt floral tooling and lettering remain relatively bright, particularly on the front board, though a patch of dark discoloured staining is present near the top edge of the front cover. The extremities show minor rubbing and softening, with the binding remaining tight, square, and structurally sound. Internally, the pages are largely crisp and bright with a gilt top edge, though the untrimmed fore and bottom edges exhibit moderate toning. A neatly penned previous ownership signature ("J. Richards") and a discreet blue monogram stamp reside on the verso of the half-title page.
