Printed to coincide with an autumn 1975 Scottish tour by "The Black Sheep" (a performance duo comprising Walters and Welsh musician Sam Parry), this volume underscores the poet's Celtic heritage and his enduring connection to Scotland. The cover wrapper was designed collaboratively by Val Sutherland and Stewart Cordiner.

This copy is distinguished by an unusual dual provenance. The preliminary page features the printed dedication "For Val Sutherland," beneath which Aeronwy Thomas-Ellis, the only daughter of poet Dylan Thomas, has signed her name in ink. Furthermore, the title page bears a warm presentation inscription from the author reading: "For Jan, / Warmest wishes / Bryan Walters / 8 Oct 75-". Aeronwy Thomas-Ellis is noted on the rear wrapper as having performed alongside Walters at the Traverse Theatre during the Edinburgh Festival in 1974, making the presence of both signatures a historically fitting and well-documented association.
