Condition Report: Near Fine. The book presents exceptionally well, housed in a striking, unclipped dust jacket that remains bright and entirely free of tears, chipping, or significant shelf-wear. The black cloth boards underneath are pristine, featuring sharp corners and gleaming, unoxidised gilt lettering along the spine. The binding is remarkably tight and square, opening smoothly without any cracking or weakness to the hinges. Internally, the pages are crisp, bright, and completely free of foxing, stains, or unintentional markings, maintaining a fresh, unread feel throughout. A highly attractive copy with only the most microscopic signs of handling to the extremities, easily justifying its high grade.

Catalogue Note: This is a true first edition, first printing of Tom Cox's Shirley Jackson Award-winning fiction debut, published following a successful crowdfunding campaign. Bearing the ISBN for the limited edition on the rear panel (978-1-78352-670-3), this copy was likely distributed exclusively to original Unbound subscribers. The text is wonderfully complemented by evocative linocut-style illustrations by Jo Cox.

A particularly special copy, this volume has been signed and uniquely inscribed by the author on the title page: "To Suzanne, Happy Witching!" Accompanying the inscription is a charming, original hand-drawn sketch (a remarque) of a hare by Cox.
