The full calf leather binding remains firm and attractive, though it critically exhibits light wear to the extremities, including minor rubbing and small areas of surface loss at the spine ends. The spine retains its vibrant gilt-tooled decoration and bright red title label across four well-defined raised bands, showing no signs of oxidation. The boards show light surface scratching and a few dark marks, but the elegant gilt-ruled borders remain sharp and clean, presenting exceptionally well overall. The binding is securely bound, square, and tight. Internally, the red-edged text block is well-preserved, showing uniform age-related toning and occasional light, scattered foxing as seen on the preliminary leaves.
