Condition Report Very Good. The original pictorial paper-covered boards remain bright and attractive, though they exhibit standard shelf-wear commensurate with age, including gently bumped and rubbed corners, light scuffing to the board edges, and minor wear to the spine extremities. The binding remains entirely sound and square, presenting nicely on the shelf. Internally, the text block is wonderfully clean, crisp, and bright, completely free from the heavy foxing, staining, or prominent previous ownership inscriptions frequently found in children's titles of this era. A highly presentable, well-preserved surviving copy without the dust jacket.

Catalogue Note This is the sixth impression, published in July 1948, eight years after the true first edition of 1940. It is beautifully illustrated throughout with Margaret Tempest's iconic, charming colour plates that have become synonymous with the beloved Little Grey Rabbit series.
