Condition Report: Very Good. This volume is bound in a highly attractive contemporary blind-tooled panelled calf, displaying minimal wear to the extremities. The most noticeable wear is minor bumping to the corners of the boards. The spine remains remarkably bright and unoxidised, featuring six sharply defined raised bands alongside clean, fully legible gilt lettering that reads "LORD DELAMER'S WORKS". The leather boards exhibit only faint surface marking consistent with seventeenth-century handling, while the intricate embossed borders and decorative corner tooling remain crisp and aesthetically striking. The binding itself is square, tight, and firm, providing excellent structural integrity. Internally, the contents display light handling marks and a uniform, age-related toning typical of paper from this era, yet the pages remain remarkably fresh and well-preserved overall. There are pieces missing from page 684 and the first page of the rear catalogue. Ultimately, this is a striking and unusually well-kept example of late seventeenth-century craftsmanship.

It was issued as the premier publication of his parliamentary speeches, advice to his children, and private discourses relating to the affairs of the two preceding reigns.

The volume is notably illustrated with a fine engraved frontispiece displaying the armorial bearing of the Earl of Warrington, complete with his heraldic crest and the motto "Fax Mentis Honesta Gloria".
