Condition Report: Very Good. The book remains tightly bound in its original black cloth, which is sharp and well-preserved with bright gilt titling along the spine. The structural integrity is excellent, exhibiting minimal shelf-wear to the board edges. The text block shows moderate to pronounced foxing along the top and fore-edges, which occasionally encroaches onto the margins of the endpapers and preliminary leaves. Main body of text remains clean, bright, and highly readable. The original dust jacket is present and remains unclipped, retaining the original '10s. 6d. net' price on the front flap. It shows age-appropriate wear, including mild rubbing to the panels, shallow chipping at the spine ends and corners, and light edge-creasing, but its striking, atmospheric cover art remains vivid. It is now housed in a protective archival sleeve.
