Condition Report: Near Fine. The publisher's original pictorial cloth binding remains exceptionally bright, tight, and square, exhibiting only the faintest shelf-wear to the extremities and slight softening to the spine ends. Critically, the intricate front board illustration and block lettering are entirely unfaded and vibrant, escaping the rubbing and darkening so commonly found in this series. Internally, the text block is highly sound with firm hinges. The elaborate gilt-patterned endpapers are clean and unmarked, and the pages remain largely free from foxing or toning. The colour plates are fully intact, crisp, and beautifully preserved, justifying the high grade for a children's educational book of this era.
