Condition Report: Very Good. The publisher's original light blue cloth boards remain remarkably bright and structurally sound, showing only very mild rubbing to the extremities and slight softening at the spine ends. The gilt lettering to the front board and spine is sharp and unoxidised, complemented by the vivid dark blue line illustrations. A custom clear acetate jacket has been fitted to preserve the cloth. Internally, the binding is tight and square. The illustrated endpapers are clean, with the 'This book belongs to' bookplate panel remaining attractively un-inscribed. The text block is pleasingly clean, presenting only occasional, very light scattered foxing, primarily confined to the text block edges. The frontispiece colour plate and in-text line drawings are pristine and sharply defined. Overall, an exceptionally well-preserved and handsome copy.
