The dark green boards remain structurally sound, with the elaborate gilt heraldic crest to the upper board remaining bright and unoxidised, though the extremities exhibit mild rubbing alongside minor bumping to the corners and spine ends. Internally, the dark coated endpapers are well-preserved, featuring a neat bookplate to the front pastedown. The text block is firm, and the inner hinges remain secure without cracking. While the preliminary leaves and title page display moderate foxing and toning, typical for the paper stock of this era, the main body of the maps and the consulting index remains clean, crisp, and largely free of notable blemishes.
