The original green cloth binding remains structurally sound and firm, exhibiting expected but moderate shelf-wear, primarily consisting of light rubbing to the extremities and slight bumping to the corners. The gilt crest of the Duchy of Lancaster upon the front board remains remarkably bright and unoxidised. The spine cloth is intact, though it displays some minor fraying and wear at the head and tail, while the hinges feel secure and tight. Internally, the text block is securely bound; the pages are largely clean with some mild, scattered foxing mostly confined to the preliminary leaves and margins, which is characteristic for a volume of this period. Overall, a highly attractive and robustly preserved copy.
