Condition Report: Near Fine. This is a superb, crisp example of this beautifully crafted limited edition. The quarter cloth binding remains square and notably tight, with sharp corners and unfaded blue cloth boards. The gilt boat motif to the upper board is strikingly bright and entirely unoxidised. Externally, there are just two minuscule, faint superficial spots to the rear board, which barely detract from the volume's overall presentation. Internally, the book is immaculate; the Zerkall mould-made paper is wonderfully crisp, bright, and completely free from spotting, foxing, or handling wear. An exceptionally well-preserved copy.

Catalogue Note: Issued in a strict limited edition of only 125 numbered copies, this specific volume is copy number 29. It is beautifully illustrated throughout with striking blue linocuts by Rosemary Roberts, whose artwork perfectly complements the nautical themes of the text. The book is handset in Goudy Old Style and printed letterpress, showcasing the exceptional craftsmanship of the Celtic Cross Press.

Adding to its provenance, this copy is signed by the artist, Rosemary Roberts, in pencil on the limitation page. Given the exceptionally small print run and the high production value of the press, copies of this edition, especially those in such well-preserved condition, are genuinely scarce on the open market.
