Condition Report: Very Good. The volume is tightly bound in its original black cloth, presenting bright, unoxidised orange-red foil lettering to the spine, indicative of careful storage. The boards remain firm with sharp corners and minimal edge-wear. Internally, the text block is clean, crisp, and free from foxing or significant toning, maintaining an excellent level of brightness. The front free endpaper bears a standard previous ownership signature in ink. The original dust jacket is well-preserved, retaining vivid, unfaded artwork with only light rubbing and minor creasing to the spine ends and extremities. The front inner flap has been price-clipped, but the jacket remains otherwise highly presentable and is now housed in a removable archival sleeve.

Catalogue Note: First UK edition of John Wyllie's debut Dr Samuel Quarshie mystery, setting the stage for the beloved West African physician-detective series. Bound in the original black cloth, this volume features striking jacket artwork by William Rankin.

Provenance includes a neat, contemporary previous ownership signature to the front free endpaper.
