The original pictorial boards remain notably bright and vibrant, protected by a clear removable wrapper, though they exhibit standard shelf-wear, slight rubbing to the corners, and minor chipping to the spine extremities. The binding remains structurally sound. Internally, the thick pages show typical mild age-toning and occasional light smudging, but the text block is predominantly clean. Crucially, the intricate "self-erecting" stand-up models, including the Father Christmas bedroom scene, appear intact and fully functional, a scarce and highly desirable attribute for movable books of this era.
