Very Good: Original price-clipped dust jacket shows light edgewear, most noticeable at one corner and the head of the spine. The rear panel has a sizeable loss together with light handling marks and age-related toning, while the front panel remains clean and attractive with all artwork and lettering bright and vibrant. Publisher’s original black cloth binding shows only light shelf wear, with faint handling marks across the boards. Gilt decorative elements remain sharp, bright, and well-defined. Binding is square and firm. Text block remains clean and well-preserved. Internally, pages are tightly bound, clean, and fresh throughout, appearing unread.

First edition published by Hollis & Carter, London, 1956. A scarce mid-century first edition by Catherine Eastwood, an author whose works are now infrequently encountered in the antiquarian market.
