Condition Report: Very Good. The publisher's original blue cloth binding remains remarkably bright and firm, with the striking black decorative motifs retaining their crispness. There is minor sunning to the spine and slight rubbing to the extremities, but the binding remains tight and square, aided by a clear, removable protective sleeve. Internally, the text block is predominantly clean with untrimmed fore-edges and the top edge darkened as is typical for its age. Minor, scattered foxing is present, largely confined to the title page and preliminary leaves without affecting the vividness of the illustrations. A previous owner's name is neatly inscribed in pencil on the front free endpaper. Overall, a highly attractive and well-preserved copy.
