The dark blue cloth binding remains exceptionally tight and secure, exhibiting no significant shelf-wear, while the gilt tooling and maroon title label on the spine remain remarkably bright and unoxidised. The text block edges are clean, with only mild dust toning to the top edge, and the interior pages are crisp, bright, and completely free of foxing or handling marks. The unclipped dust jacket presents very well, showing only minor edge-wear, slight rubbing to the extremities, and faint toning to the lighter panels, with no major tears or loss, justifying a Very Good grade.

Catalogue Note: This is a UK first edition of Rose Fitzgerald Kennedy’s celebrated memoir, retaining its original dust jacket and featuring a photographic plate section documenting the Kennedy family's history.
